Oakwood has 2 counselors. Mrs. Zumwalt is our lead counselor at Oakwood every day; Mrs. Cockrell is our shared counselor with AMCMS and she is at Oakwood Tuesdays, Thursdays, and every other Friday.
Alex Cockrell I am so excited to be part of the CSISD team this year as a shared counselor between Oakwood Intermediate and AMCMS. I'm coming from Snook Secondary where I taught JH science for 4 years, then was the Secondary Counselor for 3 years. My family includes myself, my husband Brandon, and our two girls Carter & Taiven. We have lived in College Station since I started school at TAMU in the fall of 2010; I have a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M and a master's degree from Sam Houston State University in School Counseling. Because I'm pursuing licensure as an LPC, in my free time I work as a private practice counselor for members of the BCS community. You can also find me supporting my football coach husband at many of his games or reading a good book! I am looking forward to helping Mrs. Zumwalt incorporate more in-class social-emotional learning as well as targeted small-group and individual counseling sessions. Please don't hesitate to send me an email or give me a call! [email protected] Mackenzie Zumwalt Howdy! My name is Mackenzie Zumwalt and I am the Counselor at Oakwood Intermediate School.
